ENTRY FEES 2020

2021 Entry Fees till be confirmed in December 2020.

TWO ENTRY FORMATS:

  • Six-Stage Rider – An entrant racing all 6 stages over the 4 days
  • Single-Stage Rider – Riders who enter less than 6 stages over the 4 days – allowing you to pick the races you want to do!

You can still enter on the day at race registration from 3-6pm on Wednesday 19 August! Late Entry fees outlined below will apply.

GROUP AND CLUB ENTRIES

The Redback is the ideal event to attend with a bunch of mates or MTB Club members. We welcome all groups/clubs with open arms and offer you the chance to WIN $1000 Cash for groups/clubs of 5 or more ‘Six-Stage’ riders.

40% LOCALS DISCOUNT

To support the locals and Central Australia Rough Riders Club who help build and maintain the Alice Springs trails we are very happy to provide a 40% discount. To qualify for the Alice Springs locals discount you must:

  • Be a permanent resident of Alice Springs
  • Be a current financial member of Central Australia Rough Riders Club.

How do I arrange this?

  • Contact Rapid Ascent office at [email protected] with proof of Alice Springs residency and CARR membership. We will then send you a discount code.
  • Enter online normally and pay the quoted entry fee (at checkout the discount will be applied).
  • Please note the discount applies to online registrations only.
  • Discounts will not be given retrospectively once online entries close.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Airport transfers are provided by Emu Run Experience and are available for $27 per person per transfer. (including bike transfer). Transfers are just $15 without a bike.

TO BOOK: Airport transfer bookings are best made through the online entry system when you enter the event. Please ensure you complete all relevant flight details in the system; if you do not complete ALL the details, you transfer booking will not be confirmed. All airport transfer bookings must be made by 8:00 AEST Monday 27 July 2020.

REFUND POLICY

If organisers Rapid Ascent cancel The Redback 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation or if we do not reach the minimum entries of 100 six-stage riders by 9:00am AEST Monday 27 July 2020, then all entrants will get a full refund of entry fees paid.

VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL

If a competitor voluntarily withdraws (eg. due to injury…) from the event prior to 9:00am AEST Monday 27 July, 2020 they have the option of:

  • Refund less a 25% administration fee (capped at $100 for 6-stage riders)
  • Rapid Ascent credit for another event entry less a 20% administration fee (capped at $50 for 6-stage riders)

If a competitor voluntarily withdraws from the event after 9:00am AEST Monday 27 July, 2020:

  • No refund or credit will be issued. This will be strictly enforced as costs for your entry have already being incurred. 

FORCED WITHDRAWAL

We are very aware that some states currently have quite restrictive travel restrictions that may mean you are forced to withdraw:.

FORCED WITHDRAWAL – Based on information available at 8:00am Friday 14 August – if border controls in your home state / country restrict your from participating in the event (i.e. your state borders are closed and you’d need to quarantine for 14 days upon return to your state) meaning you are forced to withdraw due to these restrictions… THEN you are eligible for a full credit or refund of your entry fees without any admin fee.

OTHER

  • Payment for online entries is via Credit Card transaction via our secure, 128-bit encrypted credit card payment gateway. Should you require alternative payment options please contact Rapid Ascent
  • Juniors must be under the age of 18 on race day
  • An entrant may transfer their entry to another rider for a $15 transfer fee up to 8:00am AEST Monday 17 August 2020 (but the earlier the better). No transfers will be accepted after this time.
  • If the event is deemed unsafe or unable to be held on the proposed date due to extreme climatic conditions, the following steps shall be followed:
    • Rapid Ascent will not reschedule the event.
    • Rapid Ascent will refund your entry fee

Note:

  • In all other circumstances it should be assumed that the event is still going ahead UNLESS otherwise stated.
  • Rapid Ascent reserves the right to alter or amend the originally proposed course(s) from that which was published on the event website for any reason.
  • Advice of any event cancellation or change will be made on the front page of the event website as early as possible before the event, and will be posted to the official race notice board at the registration marquee.
